Erica advises on and defends a variety of workers compensation claims involving statutory and common law matters. She advises a number of NSW scheme agents, various NSW government agencies and small to medium sized employers.

Erica’s prioritises fast, pragmatic and effective resolution of contentious disputes, and frequently appears in the Personal Injury Commission, NSW District Court and NSW Supreme Court on behalf of her clients.

Erica enjoys working closely with her clients, and building longstanding relationships. She provides advice across the entire life cycle of a workers compensation claim and works closely to ensure desirable short and long-term outcomes are achieved. She frequently provides in person sessional advice to assist clients with time sensitive and discreet points.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Erica is skilled at solving complex legal disputes and providing advice on technical issues of law that can greatly impact entitlements to compensation. She, together with her supervising Partner Holly Ulmer, successfully defended an appeal Haddad v The GEO Group Australia Pty Ltd (NSWCA 2024) which is currently a leading case in the jurisdiction in relation to the date of injury in relation to disease injury cases.
