Steven is frequently consulted at all stages of regulatory matters including before the Health Care Complaints Commission, Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, professional councils, and tribunals. He also appears in litigated matters in both state and federal courts and has assist clients with coronial inquests.

Steven’s expertise extends to providing advice to hospitals and insurers on a wide variety of matters related to risk management, serious adverse event reviews, patient complaints (including in real time), and indemnity and policy coverage issues.

With over 10 years’ experience in health law, Steven has been named as one to watch by Best Lawyers since 2023 and won the Lawyers Weekly ‘30 under 30’ Health award in 2020.

Steven also volunteers as a member of the Human Research Ethics Committee of a local public hospital.
