Emma has comprehensive experience managing catastrophic claims.
She has advised insurer clients on a wide range of claims which feature various medical complexities (such as claims involving traumatic brain injuries, spinal injuries, or complex pre-existing and co-morbid medical conditions), liability complexities (such as claims involving potential joint illegal enterprises, contributory negligence, or multiple tortfeasors), and claims involving false and misleading statements.
Emma has robust knowledge of the procedural complexities involved in managing claims for insurer clients, from her experience preparing and managing matters before the Personal Injury Commission, District Courts of New South Wales and Queensland, and Supreme Courts of New South Wales and Victoria.
She regularly assists insurer clients to manage and defend multimillion dollar claims, and also has experience advising government clients and state insurers in relation to negligence and vicarious liability for historical abuse claims.
