Michelle has specialised in insurance law and litigation for over twenty years and has extensive experience in Compulsory Third Party (CTP) and public liability claims. Michelle’s experience extends to matters involving indemnity, contractual and dual insurance issues. She manages claims involving fraud, complex liability disputes and catastrophic injuries.

EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE

Michelle’s experience spans public liability and personal injury litigation and claims involving catastrophic injuries, fraud and complex liability disputes. She acts on behalf of all major CTP insurers in claims under the Motor Accidents Compensation Act 1999 (NSW) and Motor Accident Injuries Act 2017 (NSW), and represents corporate clients in claims brought in the Supreme, District and Local Courts of NSW, as well as the Claims Assessment and Resolution Service (CARS) and Dispute Resolution Service (DRS). 

Michelle’s clients include a number of national and international insurers, as well as other stakeholders in the insurance industry. She has managed liability claims for proceedings against mining corporations, commercial retailers, occupiers, landlords, hotels and owners of residential premises.

Michelle is admitted to practise in NSW, Victoria and the High Court of Australia.

Michelle has excellent communication skills and utilises these along with her attention to detail and analytical skills to assist her clients to achieve outcomes in line with their commercial imperatives.
