+61 3 8687 7342

Jack joined Moray & Agnew’s Pro Bono team in October 2024. He is currently seconded to Inner Melbourne Community Legal (IMCL), where he assists clients experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Jack works across IMCL’s tenancy, fines and family violence teams.

EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE

IMCL offers free, accessible legal assistance to some of the most disadvantaged Victorians. Clients have low incomes and many face compounding socio-economic challenges, such as physical and mental disabilities, experience of seeking asylum, or limited English proficiency.

Jack attends outreaches at crisis accommodation centres in the inner city, providing information, advice, casework and representation to clients who would otherwise not engage with legal services. He represents these clients at the Magistrates’ Court and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, and also appears as a duty lawyer in the Specialist Family Violence Courts.

Recognition

Prior to joining IMCL, Jack worked with Traditional Owner-led organisations in the native title space. He has experience in community engagement and policy roles, working across Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Victoria. Jack also worked as a journalist earlier in his career.
